Our Lady of Peace Elementary School is excited to announce that we are a STEAM school with an emphasis on robotics, technology and coding. STEAM is an interdisciplinary approach to teaching & learning that incorporates science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. As a result of this approach to education, students are better able to appreciate how each part is necessary for the success of any complex, real world project.
STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking; resulting in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the engineering process.
